What is Telepsych?

Hawaii UTelehealth is a free- online telepsychology platform where you can talk to a licensed professional about worries stress, anxiety, substance use, and other concerns.


The goal of this service is to provide free mental health services to our ‘Ohana who experience time constraints, financial burdens, and transportation barriers when trying to access services.

No cost to YOU

No health insurance is needed, and no previous mental or behavioral health diagnoses are needed. If you have health insurance, the provider may bill the insurance.
 
If you or someone you love could use a conversation or two with a professional, let us help you. All you need is access to the internet and a webcam; most mobile devices, including laptops, smartphones, and tablets, have these built-in.
 
 

Interpreter Services

If you require an interpreter, please call our office at 808-692-1060 at least 4 days in advance of the visit to coordinate a telepsych visit with a health care provider. If you already have an interpreter with you, please continue with online screening. By continuing you are agreeing to have reviewed and agreed upon the consent terms and conditions as communicated to you by your interpreter.

For Healthcare Providers & Community Partners

Patient Referral

We accept referrals for patients in need of no-cost services. At Hawaii UTelehealth, they can speak with physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and mental health counselors, and substance abuse counselors at no charge. View our full list of providers here.

The platform is staffed with coordinators who teach patients how to use telehealth-eligible devices and gain technological literacy.

Join our team

We are recruiting Hawaii licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, and psychologists to perform telepsych visits for $100 – $125/hr.

We provide connectivity through Zoom (HIPAA Compliant), all you have to do is have a private room with a computer, camera and mic and download Zoom. Or patients can participate from home via phone/computer.
