Partner Program Resources

The Native Hawaiian Center Of Excellence (NHCOE) is part of the Department of Native Hawaiian Health at the University of Hawai'i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM). The mission of NHCOE is to promote the physical and mental health of all Native Hawaiians by recruiting students into the health professions, conducting health disparities research, promoting faculty and student development, implementing cultural competence development training, and disseminating information resources relevant to the health of Native Hawaiians.

The UH Manoa Pre-Health/Pre-Law Advising Center (PAC) is a walk-in resource center for students interested in law, medicine (allopathic, chiropractic, naturopathic, osteopathic, podiatric), or the health sciences (dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, physician assistant, occupational therapy, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, etc.). PAC is staffed by peer advisors trained to help you clarify your career goals, choose a major, plan appropriate coursework, research professional programs, find opportunities to gain experience, and apply to schools.

“Cancer Research Education, Advancement, Training and Empowerment” (CREATE) at the University of Hawaiʻi Cancer Center (UHCC) addresses the over-arching goal to enhance the training of a workforce to meet biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research needs to lower cancer incidence and mortality in the Pacific. CREATE takes advantage of the excellent research opportunities arising from the distinctive population and environment in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific with strong multi-disciplinary collaborations at the University of Hawaiʻi. Besides the hands-on experience at UHCC, CREATE includes a curriculum of multi-disciplinary seminars, workshops, and career development sessions. The goal of CREATE is to offer distinctive training experiences in cancer biology and in population sciences for undergraduate sophomores and juniors and for first-year graduate students.

COPE Health Scholars, a division of COPE Health Solutions, provides an educational opportunity for individuals interested in making a difference in health care, advancing their careers, and building lifelong relationships and learning through the COPE Connect network.

Our COPE Connect network provides current and aspiring health care professionals the opportunity to continually link with health care delivery, learn from industry experts and lead future innovations in patient care. We offer the opportunity for any individual, no matter where they are on their health care career journey, the competitive edge to succeed in the complex and growing health care field.
