Public School Rankings

A quality education is one of the most important aspects of a child’s life. The honest truth is that not all public schools are the same. View some of the top public and private schools in Hawai’i, or see how the school in your potential area stacks up.

Geographic Exemption

If your school of choice is not in your area, apply for a geographic exemption (GE). Under Hawai’i laws, all persons attending public school are required to attend the school in the geographic area in which they reside. However, permission to attend another school may be granted by the Department of Education. Find a school that is close to where you work, offers a particular program, or that better fits your child’s needs.
